1. The Proofly SMS program
Proofly is a B2B sales enablement tool that connects businesses with their customer references. When SMS delivery is enabled, participating businesses use Proofly to notify consenting references about reference requests, including a link to view the request and choose whether to accept or decline.
SMS delivery depends on an approved sending number, carrier registration, and provider setup. This page does not mean SMS is currently active or that a campaign has been approved.
2. How consent is collected
- A business invites a customer reference by email with an individual invitation link.
- The reference opens the link and signs in using the invited email address.
- The invitation names the business and displays the SMS consent statement beside an unchecked checkbox.
- The reference actively selects the checkbox and presses “Join & save preferences.” Consent applies to reference requests from that named business through Proofly.
Current joining requirement: the invitation’s Join button is disabled unless the SMS consent checkbox is selected. Joining this reference network currently requires SMS consent; there is not an email-only joining option on that screen. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. If you do not agree, leave the checkbox unchecked and do not complete this SMS-enabled enrollment.
Your experience matters
Acme Software wants to pay you to be a customer reference.
Share your firsthand experience with potential customers. Choose which requests to accept.
This saves your preference. Financial details will only be collected through Stripe’s secure setup.
You can opt out at any time in your Businesses tab.
The actual statement uses the inviting business’s name in place of “Acme Software.” The public illustration does not create a reference account or replace the individual invitation process.
3. Messages, frequency, and costs
Messages identify Proofly and the requesting business and may include prospect details, the requested conversation, scheduling information, the offered payout, and a secure request link. Receiving a message does not automatically accept a request.
Message frequency varies based on requests from the businesses you join. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Contact your mobile carrier about charges.
Illustrative request: “Proofly: Acme Software has a new paid reference request for you. View the request in Proofly to accept or decline. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
Examples are not delivered messages and do not promise a specific payout or number of texts.
4. Stopping messages and getting help
Reply STOP to the sending number to opt out when SMS is enabled. You may receive an opt-out confirmation; no further program messages should be sent unless you consent again. You can also withdraw SMS consent for a business in the reference app’s Businesses tab.
Reply HELP to the sending number for assistance when SMS is enabled. For a request-specific question, contact the requesting business through your existing Proofly conversation. For service questions, use your existing Proofly contact or account support channel, where available.
Withdrawing SMS consent does not delete your account, cancel an already accepted request, or remove earned payout records. A business invitation alone does not authorize SMS enrollment.
5. Consent records and privacy
Proofly records the phone number, consent statement, timestamp, and IP address associated with reference enrollment. These records help document consent and manage communication preferences.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Necessary service providers may process this information to operate the messaging program and honor opt-outs, subject to applicable safeguards and legal obligations.
Read the Privacy Policy for information about data handling, retention, and your choices.
6. Delivery and related terms
Delivery is not guaranteed. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Carrier filtering, network availability, registration status, and service interruptions may affect delivery.
These SMS terms supplement Proofly’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We may update this page as the messaging program changes and will provide additional notice where required.
